remaining in the Missouri Humanities Council Trust fund to the

FISCAL NOTE:  Net Effect to State Funds is $0 for FY 1998, FY

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say this legislation will make a
technical correction to legislation that was passed a couple
years ago.  The intent was to build the trust fund so humanities
can fund needed projects.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Shear; and the
Humanities Council.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
